Eligibility and Age Categories:

• The competition is open to musicians of all ages and nationalities.

• Age classification will be based on the participant’s age as of January  10, 2027.

• Participants will be divided into the following age categories:

  • Category A: 19 years and older

  • Category B: 15-18 years

  • Category C: 11-14 years

  • Category D:  up to 10 years

  • Category 4 Hands (no age limit) 

  • Category Chamber Ensamble Music (no age limit)

Repertoire and Performance Submission:

• Participants are free to choose their repertoire.

• There is no time limit on the performance submitted via video link. There is also no minimum duration required.

• If the performances are short, they can be submitted within a single video link.

Evaluation Process and Result Announcement:

• The jury committee reserves the right to alter the dates for the announcement of results in case of any delays in the evaluation process.

• The names and performance videos of the winners will be published on our website and social media channels as per the schedule provided.

Prize Details:

• The 1st Prize Winner of each category will be invited to perform live on stage during the Winners’ Concert to be held in Ankara in March 2027 and will also have the opportunity to perform in Vienna in May 2027.

• The Winners’ Concert and Award Ceremony is planned to be held in March 2027 at one of Ankara’s historically and culturally significant concert venues, the Musiki Muallim Mektebi, Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage. This event will provide a prestigious and elegant stage for the piano competition award winners.
  
  For each category:

• The 1st prize winner will be invited to perform live on stage during the winners’ concert in Ankara also in Vienna

• The 2nd and 3rd Prize Winners of each category will be invited to perform live on stage during the Winners’ Concert in Ankara in March 2027.

• All prize winners will receive a certificate during the Winners’ Concert and Award Ceremony in Ankara in March 2027 and will have the opportunity to participate in a professional photo shoot.

• The Winners’ Concert and Award Ceremony is planned to be held in March 2027 at one of Ankara’s historically and culturally significant concert venues, the Musiki Muallim Mektebi, Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage. This event will provide a prestigious and elegant stage for the piano competition award winners.
  
  Recognition and Certificates

• All winners will be announced on the official competition website and social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.

• Prize-winning participants will be invited to the award ceremony. Those unable to attend will receive their achievement certificates via email.

• Printed certificates can be requested for an additional fee to cover shipping costs.

• Participants who do not win a prize can request a Certificate of Participation to be sent electronically for a fee of 35 Euros.

• Teachers and accompanying persons can also request a certificate to be sent electronically for 35 Euros.
   

Application Process:

• The application fee is €75 for each solo category, €105 for the 4 Hands category (no age limit), and for the Chamber Ensemble Music category, participation is open to duos, trios, quartets, or quintets. Ensembles may include any classical instrument or voice, with no age limit. Any musician may join an ensemble that includes piano participation, and the participation fee is €45 per musician. Please note that the fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. By submitting an application, participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the competition.

• Payments must include the participant’s full name and the reference "Ankara Piano Competition."

• Recordings must be captured with a single camera that clearly shows the musician’s face and hands.

• Video links should be provided during the registration process, though they may also be sent via APPLY  before the competition's registration deadline.

 

Rights and Usage:

• By registering, participants allow the organizer to freely dispose of the photo, audio, and video recordings submitted to the competition for documentation and public relations on its website and social media. 

• The judgment of the jury is final.

• Due to delays in the evaluation process by the competition jury committee, the organization reserves the right to change the dates provided for the announcement of the results.
